CHOOSING THE RIGHT MODEL

Choosing commercial refrigeration

Start with what you are storing and who opens the door: staff, or customers. Then compare capacity, footprint and the ambient heat where it will run.

Front of house or back of house

Glass door bar and display fridges sell stock to customers; solid door under bench and prep fridges keep ingredients close to the line.

Measure the space and the path in

Check external width, depth and height, door swing, and every doorway on the delivery route.

Allow for heat

Behind bars and in kitchens it gets hot. Leave the listed ventilation gaps so the fridge holds temperature in summer.
