CHOOSING THE RIGHT MODEL

A practical guide to one-door bar fridges

Single-door models save frontage, but cabinet height, depth and ventilation still determine whether a fridge will fit and operate correctly. Use the range comparison as a shortlist, then confirm the full product specification before ordering.

Choose the cabinet height

Under-counter models are below 900mm, freestanding models are 900mm and upright models are above 900mm. These labels describe cabinet height only; check each model’s ventilation requirements.

Check the available depth

The range includes compact counter-height cabinets and taller upright models. Measure the complete installation space and access route, including the door, plug and ventilation allowance.

Match capacity to the job

Compact 121L and 133L models suit focused beverage storage, while the 299L and 300L uprights provide more organised shelf space where floor-to-ceiling capacity matters.

Black or stainless steel?

Black cabinets suit customer-facing bars and darker joinery. Stainless steel coordinates with commercial kitchen equipment and changes the exterior finish; it does not by itself make a fridge suitable for outdoor use.

Upright or counter height?

Choose a counter-height cabinet where bench alignment and a smaller footprint matter. Choose an upright model when shelf capacity is more important than using the top as work space.

COMMON QUESTIONS

1 Door Bar Fridges FAQs

Why choose a commercial bar fridge over a domestic one?

Commercial bar fridges are built for constant door opening and all-day running. Our under-bench and back bar models are rated to hold 0–10°C in ambient heat up to 38°C, with a 2 year onsite parts and labour warranty.

What capacity one-door bar fridge should I choose?

Start with the stock required during your busiest service period, then confirm width, depth and height against the available space. Compare the live product specifications before ordering.

Can a one-door fridge fit below a bench?

Only models below the available bench height should be shortlisted, and the cabinet still needs the ventilation and rear clearances stated for that model.

Is a stainless steel model better than a black model?

The main difference is finish and presentation. Compare the individual model specifications rather than assuming the exterior finish changes cooling performance or installation requirements.

Can these fridges be used outdoors?

Do not assume that a commercial cabinet is outdoor-rated. Check the individual ambient-temperature specification and ask Borrelli before planning an exposed or enclosed outdoor installation.
