CHOOSING THE RIGHT MODEL

A practical guide to two-door bar fridges

Capacity matters, but the cabinet also has to fit the available space, open safely and operate within its specified conditions. Use the comparison below as a shortlist, then check the full product page before ordering.

Choose the cabinet height

Under-counter models are below 900mm, freestanding models are 900mm and upright models are above 900mm. These labels describe cabinet height only; they do not replace each model’s clearance and ventilation requirements.

Allow for door movement

Hinged doors give full access to each compartment but need clear space in front of the cabinet. Sliding doors reduce the outward opening area and can suit tighter service aisles, although cleaning and access preferences differ.

Match capacity to service

The range covers compact 188L and 207L cabinets through to 477L, 675L and 758L upright storage. Consider peak stock levels and product mix rather than choosing on external width alone.

Black or stainless steel?

Finish is primarily a design and cleaning choice. Black cabinets suit bars and customer-facing spaces where a darker appliance blends into joinery. Stainless steel offers a commercial appearance and can coordinate with other kitchen equipment. A finish alone does not make a model suitable for outdoor installation.

Installation and ventilation

Measure the full installation space, access route and door clearance before ordering. Keep ventilation openings clear and follow the individual product requirements for ambient temperature and surrounding clearance. If installation conditions are uncertain, ask the Borrelli team to check the proposed model.

COMMON QUESTIONS

2 Door Bar Fridges FAQs

Why choose a commercial bar fridge over a domestic one?

Commercial bar fridges are built for constant door opening and all-day running. Our under-bench and back bar models are rated to hold 0–10°C in ambient heat up to 38°C, with a 2 year onsite parts and labour warranty.

What size two-door bar fridge should I choose?

Start with the stock required during your busiest service period, then confirm external width, depth and height against the available space. The comparison table gives a shortlist; the product page contains the full model specification.

Can an under-counter model be installed beneath a bench?

“Under-counter” on this page means the cabinet is below 900mm high. It does not guarantee suitability for every enclosed bench space. Check the model’s ventilation and clearance requirements before installation.

Are sliding doors better than hinged doors?

Neither is universally better. Sliding doors reduce outward door swing in narrow service areas, while hinged doors provide direct access to the full compartment. Choose according to aisle space, service workflow and cleaning preference.

Can these fridges be used outdoors?

Do not assume that a commercial finish makes a fridge outdoor-rated. Use the operating environment and ambient-temperature requirements stated for the individual model, and contact Borrelli before planning an exposed or enclosed outdoor installation.
