01Warnings and Safety

Electrical safety

  • Use a suitable earthed power outlet that matches the appliance rating plate. Keep the plug and isolation point accessible.
  • Switch off and disconnect the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
  • If the cord or plug is damaged, stop using the appliance and contact Borrelli. Replacement must be carried out by Borrelli, its service agent or a qualified technician.
  • Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartment.

Safe handling and use

  • Use indoors on a flat, stable surface. Do not use this appliance to store medical supplies.
  • Transport, store and handle the unit upright. Move it by supporting the base; do not pull on the doors.
  • Do not stand on or support yourself on the base or doors.
  • Wipe away oil or fat immediately if it touches plastic parts or door seals.
  • Keep bottles containing high-alcohol liquids sealed and upright.
  • Keep packaging away from children.

Servicing and defrosting

  • Installation, repairs and maintenance must be carried out by a qualified technician. Do not remove service panels or internal components.
  • Do not attempt to speed up the defrost process using any unauthorized means. Do not use tools, heaters or other devices to remove ice. Allow defrosting to complete naturally.
  • Light repair or replacement must be carried out by a qualified technician with power disconnected, using an identical replacement.

02Installation

Unpack and inspect

  • Check for transport damage. If damage is found, contact Borrelli within 48 hours, as stated in Borrelli's terms and conditions.
  • Remove packaging, protective films and coatings from all surfaces.
  • Clean the shelves and interior with soapy water, then wipe dry before first use.

Position and ventilation

  • Allow 200 mm (20 cm) between the unit and walls or other objects for ventilation.
  • Increase separation from heat sources.
  • Set the brakes on castors where fitted, or level the appliance using the adjustable screw feet. A level unit is important for correct condensate drainage.

Fit the shelves

  1. Fit a matching pair of shelf guides on either side of the cabinet at the same height.
  2. Slide the shelf into position and check that it is securely supported.
  3. Repeat for the remaining shelves. Supplied shelf quantities and accessories may vary.

03Cleaning and Maintenance

Routine cleaning

  1. Clean the cabinet interior regularly using a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, which can damage surfaces and leave harmful residues.
  2. Clean door seals with water only. Remove oil and grease promptly.
  3. Wipe all cleaned surfaces dry. Take care around the rear of the appliance, where sharp edges may be present.
  4. Check that shelves are secure, doors close correctly and air passages are clear before restarting. Allow the unit to return to operating temperature before reloading.

Condenser cleaning

Drainage and water

Keep the cabinet floor and accessible drainage area clear of food and debris. If water persists, check that the appliance is level and contact Borrelli. Do not remove service panels to reach a drain or evaporation tray.

Maintenance record

Record cleaning and service dates, work completed and the technician or staff member responsible. Keep service records with your proof of purchase.

04How to Use

Start the fridge

Close the doors. With the appliance switch at O (off), connect to a suitable outlet and switch the outlet on. Set the appliance switch to I (on). Allow the cabinet to reach its operating temperature before loading food.

Set the desired temperature

  1. Press SET for one second. The current set point flashes after a few moments.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN button to adjust the value.
  3. Press SET to confirm the new value.

The appliance operating range is 2 to 8 degrees C. Use the temperature approved for your stock. Do not change service parameters or reset the controller.

Controller on / off

Hold UP (power symbol) for more than three seconds to toggle controller operation. When off, OFF alternates with the probe temperature and cooling and defrost control are disabled. This does not isolate electrical power: switch off and unplug before cleaning or servicing.

Display and indicators

During normal operation the display shows the cabinet probe temperature. Lit compressor, fan and defrost indicators show the active functions; blinking indicates a pending request.

Manual defrost

Hold DOWN (defrost symbol) for more than three seconds. Defrost starts only when the required temperature conditions are met.

Automatic defrost timing is configured for the appliance. Contact Borrelli for assistance with the installed defrost settings. Do not change service parameters.

The display is held during defrost and returns when the temperature reaches the set point. Do not attempt to speed up the defrost process using any unauthorized means. Do not chip ice away or use tools, heaters or other devices. Allow defrosting to complete naturally.

05Tips and Tricks

Load for good airflow

  • Load food only after the cabinet has reached its operating temperature.
  • Wrap or cover food wherever possible. Do not place uncovered hot food or liquid inside the cabinet.
  • Keep the internal fan and air passages clear. Do not overload the cabinet or pack stock tightly together, as this can prevent air from being distributed evenly.
  • Keep door openings brief and check that the seals make full contact when closed.

Protect cooling performance

  • Keep external ventilation clear and maintain the installation clearance.
  • The condenser MUST be cleaned every few months by a qualified technician, and more frequently if dust builds up. This maintenance is not optional.

Moving the appliance

Switch off and disconnect before moving. Keep the unit upright and support it at the base. Follow the standing-time guidance in Installation if it has been tilted or its transport history is unknown.
