Privacy Policy

International Supply Group Pty Ltd (ABN 44 625 597 453), trading as Borrelli ("Borrelli", "we", "us" or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information, and how we handle it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs").

By using our website (borrelli.com.au) or purchasing from us, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this policy.

1. What personal information we collect

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified, or reasonably identifiable, individual. The personal information we collect may include:

  • Contact and identity details — your name, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses.
  • Order and account information — your order history, account login details, and communications with us.
  • Payment information — payment method and transaction details. Note that your full card details are entered directly into our payment providers' secure systems; we do not store your full card number (see clause 6).
  • Business details — where you order as a business, your business name and ABN.
  • Identification documents — a copy of photo ID and invoice where you collect an order in person (see clause 8).
  • Technical and usage information — your IP address, device and browser type, and how you use our website, collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools (see clause 5).

You can browse our website without providing personal information, though you will need to provide certain details to place an order or create an account.

2. How we collect your information

We collect personal information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter, complete a form, leave a review, or contact us. We also collect some information automatically through cookies and analytics when you use our website. Occasionally we may collect information from third parties such as our payment, delivery, or review providers, where it is reasonable to do so.

3. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose your information

We use your personal information to:

  • process and deliver your orders, and manage returns, warranties and refunds;
  • create and administer your account;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
  • process payments and detect or prevent fraud;
  • send you order updates and, where permitted, marketing communications (see clause 4);
  • improve our website, products and services; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

We will not use or disclose your personal information for a purpose other than the one for which it was collected, unless you would reasonably expect us to, you have consented, or we are otherwise permitted or required by law.

4. Direct marketing

With your consent (or where otherwise permitted under the APPs and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)), we may send you news, promotions and product information by email or SMS. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe option, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by emailing accounts@borrelli.com.au. We will action opt-out requests within a reasonable time. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential communications about your orders.

5. Cookies, analytics and online advertising

Cookies are small files placed on your device that help our website function and help us understand how it is used. We use cookies to:

  • keep items in your shopping cart and remember your preferences;
  • analyse website traffic and performance (for example, through analytics tools such as Google Analytics); and
  • measure and deliver advertising (for example, through advertising pixels such as Meta or Google Ads).

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of our website may not work properly without them. Some of these tools are operated by third parties who may process data overseas (see clause 7).

6. Who we disclose your information to

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We may disclose it to trusted third parties who help us operate our business, and only for the purposes described in this policy. These include:

  • our ecommerce platform and website host;
  • payment processors (such as Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay and Zip);
  • delivery and freight providers;
  • review, email marketing, analytics and advertising providers; and
  • professional advisers, or where we are required or authorised to do so by law (for example, to comply with a lawful request, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property or safety of any person).

We require these providers to handle your information consistently with this policy and applicable privacy law.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Australia — for example, in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or the European Union. Where we disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with the APPs.

8. In-store pick-up identity verification

To help prevent fraud, customers collecting an order in person will be asked to provide a copy of the order invoice and photo identification to confirm they are the person entitled to collect the order. We handle any identification you provide securely, use it only for verifying the collection, and do not retain it longer than necessary for that purpose. Failure to provide this information may delay collection or result in a refund instead of collection.

9. Security of your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Sensitive information such as payment details is transmitted using encryption and processed through our payment providers' secure systems. While we work to safeguard your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Retention of your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and consumer-law record-keeping). When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading. To make a request, email us at the address in clause 14. We will respond within a reasonable time. In most cases access is free, though we may charge a reasonable fee for retrieving more complex requests. If we decline a request, we will explain why and how you can complain.

12. Data breaches

We have procedures to deal with suspected data breaches. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to affected individuals, we will notify those individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ("OAIC") as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

13. Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first using the details in clause 14, and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer your complaint to the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au (enquiries line 1300 363 992 — please check the OAIC website for current contact details).
